If you're fitting out a sports hall, gym, school corridor or public building, the High Impact version is the right spec. For offices, meeting rooms, restaurants or domestic spaces, the standard SilentSpace Rectangle is usually all you need.

The panels are designed for installation on plasterboard, brick, block, masonry and concrete walls — all common substrates in sports halls, schools, leisure centres and public buildings. Lightly painted walls are fine; avoid glossy, heavily textured or damaged surfaces. The supplied wall spikes are mechanically fixed with screws appropriate to your wall type — we don't supply screws as the right type depends on your specific substrate.

Mark out the panel positions on the wall, fix the wall spikes using appropriate screws, and press the panels firmly onto the spikes. For high-traffic environments like sports halls and gyms, we recommend also applying contact adhesive to the back of the panel before fixing for added security. This product is supplied at 40mm only — the thickness required to deliver Class A acoustic performance and support the impact-resistant core construction. For applications where both acoustic performance and impact resistance are essential, 40mm is the appropriate spec.

Each order includes your panels in your chosen fabric, size and quantity, plus the appropriate number of wall spikes and contact adhesive for installation. The only items you'll need to source separately are the screws to fix the spikes — the right type depends on your wall substrate, and your local builder's merchant or hardware shop will be able to advise.
